World Cup is 100% gold so it definetely has some value. However as is it could not be sold in the market. But world cup was once stolen from Brazil. apparently there are people out there that will pay to get this and probably in the very high millions. Colelctors. BUt it definetely would not be a legal transaction.
You could melt it but would not carry the same value.
Finally.
World Cup tickets for the first round for a family of 4: 600 EUROS
4 sandwiches and 4 sodas: 58 EUROS
Buying your teams jersey: 70 EUROS
WINNING THE CUP and HOLDING THAT TROPHY: PRICELESS

It is valuable enough that the original was stolen somewhere in Brazil after they won it for the third time. The one they use now is similar, but not the original.
