Every film has "meaning" -.- thousands of them.. The over-arching ones follow the main characters' progress.

the underlying meaning... what isn't necessarily intended, but assumed and implied in order for the "over-arching" schemes to make sense are:

1) The greatest good to the Jewish community in Nazi Germany came from an upperclass industrialist profiteer. Without him, those thousand people who survived would be dead.

2) Human life is intrinsically valuable.

3) The list, which was a bureaucratic symbol of oppression, can be used for good. The ideological bias of the tools of industry and bureacracy are not determined.

4) Compromise and politicing, being charitable and amiable despite national facism can be used for GOOD, in such despondant times.

5) Similarly with debauchery and chauvanism.

6) Sympatico for the need for a master-slave relationship in general.

7) Ability to repent. (Schindler was exonerated)

I have seen Schindlers list a dozen times, there is no underlying meaning,it is a true story of Oskar Schindler who owned a german metal factory,he saved all those Jews from concentration camps by basically spending his own millions to buy them back from the Nazis,he was a hero and there are thousands of people related to those Jewish people and they are called The Schindler Jews.

There are a lot of messages in Schindler's List. Oskar Schindler was a greedy businessman that exploited Jewish labor at the beginning of WWII but had a change of heart and spent all of his fortune to save the Jews that worked in his factory. There's something you can use for your paper.
