I don't think that Jon Bon Jovi sounds anything like Bruce Springsteen...
However, overrated musician would be Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey seems to be the popular answer, and at present I'd tend to agree. So she has about five more vocal octaves that most of the schlubs at the karaoke bar, but the top two or three don't sound pretty in any way when she uses them. Unfortunately, she uses the "Mariah squeek" in most of her popular songs, which gives her large negative props in my book. When she actually sings in a listenable range, she has a very nice voice, but even that can't escape the incredible typicality of the music she's performing. Everything about the music is superficial and 'for the money', which I cannot respect, and the melodies she sings with her pretty voice don't tend to be anything terribly original. Hire better songwriters, for pity's sake, if you're going to continue recording.
Runner up: The Pussycat Dolls. What does ANYBODY see in that garbage that qualifies it for radio play and advertisements? I have utterly failed to identify any redeeming qualities to "Dontcha", which occupied the prized position of "overplayed song of the month" for a while.

U2 for sure, they have always been overrated, also I would say The Clash. The Clash is OK but they are not what people have built them up to be. Pearl Jam is fairly overrated as well and Smashing Pumpkins.

This isn't on point, but after just listening to and watching the "Stairway to Heaven" video, let me say that the greatest band of all time, without doubt, is Led Zeppelin and the greatest guitar player is Jimmy Page, and greatest drummer the late John Bonham. It isn't even close.
Most overrated of all time--Nirvanna. Pearl Jam was and is a much better band.

Mariah Carey- She's been writing/singing the same song over and over for over 10 years
U2- they MAYBE have one song that i can tolerate, besides, Bono is more of a politician than an entertainer
Beyonce- ok, so she's got a nice ***, but she can't sing! have you ever heard her sing live?
Elvis Presley- i probably pissed alot of people off, but i just don't think he's as great as everyone makes out like he is. I'm not saying he's BAD, just over-rated
Britney Spears- she's pretty, I'll give her that, but i just don't think she can sing. welcome to the MTV age, who cares if you can sing so long as you come in a pretty package.
the list goes on for days, but that's pretty much my top five....in no particular order
