I order whatever sounds good to me and I can afford! *chuckle* It so happens I don't eat large portions or rich food for lunch anyway, so whatever I order would not likely offend or tempt someone who's on a diet. However, I'm not going to go way out of my way to order something I don't like, just because of what my friend ordered.

Salad and diet coke... what a joke! That's the type of non-filling lunch that's even MORE likely to lead the eater to start snacking later in the day, and probably on unhealthy snacks to boot! Have some protein with your lunch and you're much less likely to get hungry later on. How about some lean chicken or turkey breast, or broiled fish?

As for diet sodas... well... they're one of the biggest weight-loss fallacies in the world! LOL There are dozens of healthy dietary changes you can make, to help you lose weight, but diet soda is negligible at best. PLUS the sugar substitutes are unhealthy to the body -- I don't care what anyone says! (And they certainly don't agree with mine -- my whole digestive system gets upset if I consume them. UGH! And I know other folks who suffer from migraine headaches after eating/drinking sugar substitutes.)

This first presumes that I have a) a friend to go out to lunch with, and b) babysitting funds so I can leave the kids at home, and c) a babysitter available, and d) money to spend on eating out.

Since all of those criteria are clearly impossible, I would be ordering e) nothing.

Whatever I want... it depends on where we are. Probably some chicken dish and either water or regular coke/pepsi/pop/soda.

It doesn't matter what my friend orders.

The biggest bacon cheeseburger with fries, vegetables, and a mixed drink! I may even get an appetizer like cheese sticks or nachos and cheese dip.

Aha! Trick question! I don't eat lunch!

(However, if *she* was paying.....maybe a cheeseburger and fries *and* a Diet Coke. And onion rings, too.....if she'd let me.)

(Ah, Gluttony.....my oldest and dearest friend.)
