Why do old men have large ears?

The ears and nose continue to grow even after a person has reached adulthood (they grow a person's entire life, I believe). That is why older people have bigger ears and noses.

Ears, nose and the knees are cartilage and cartilage never stops growing. Old men with big ears will usually have bulbous noses too.

Because skin can stretch too much, because less hair and thinner faces make them look bigger, is only an illusion, unless they have always had big ears. AND nails don't continue to grow after you are death, it looks like that because the skin around them shrinks (because the moisture goes away i guess) making them look longer ..AND I don't think your question was offencive l all.. relax

lol ive always wondered that too..
ears and noses keep growing so nearly all old men look like The BFG. eyes are the same size from birth to death.

because your nose and your ears are two parts of the body that continue growing throughout the course of your life...that explains why all old people have such big ears and big noses lol

Because your skin sags as you age, and the skin around your face and neck become loose, thus making your ears go saggy too! It happens to old women as well.

i think you INSULT
all people are very different --- at any age

i am older --- with small hands / feet and EARS
but my " small ears " hear --- very well

i know MANY young men --- with short hair & large ears

maybe short hair seems " bigger ears " to you !!!!!

but do not INSULT --- all older men
