Wade Miller came up with the Houston Astros. He definitely looked as if he would be a mainstay in the 'Stros's rotation for many years. He had (maybe still has?) good stuff, had some characteristics of being a workhorse of a pitcher, and was successful enough in the early days of Minute Maid Park.
His problem is his delivery. It is fairly complicated and seemed to get out of sync from time to time. Worse, it has contributed to the arm problems he has dealt with for a few years now. I was a little disappointed when Houston declined arbitration on him a few years ago, but understood he was simply to big a risk monetarily for the team to take a chance in arbitration. He has not been effective for any length of time since, and it may take a reworking of his mechanics for him to hold up, which could destroy what made him effective in the first place.
Still, I hope he finds success in the future.

He was dominant when he came into the league with the Astros. If it weren't for injuries, I think he would be in the Top 10 pitchers in the majors right now. He was just as good as Roy Oswalt coming up and Roy is definitely in the Top 10 best starters in my opinion.

Yeah, He has pitched for the Astros and the Red Sox. He is actually one of my favorite pitchers to watch, because he can mix up his pitches an really fool batters.

too bad he got hurt. I was hoping to see Oswalt and Miller at the top of Houston's rotation for years and years.
Hope he does well in the future, except when he's pitching against the Astros.
