We mustn't stereotype all muslims because they are sincere and lovely people and I feel sorry that they are living in fear because of the extremist w***kers out there giving the religion a bad name. I do think though that muslims (who haven't already done so) should integrate more and it also doesn't help that the PC brigade are trying to stir trouble by trying to get us to ban christmas, flying the St. George's flag etc. (My friend works in a school and they're not allowed to sing "Ba Ba Black Sheep but Ba Ba Rainbow Sheep"! It's crazy!) The British are strong willed and will do the opposite and many I talk to feel they are losing their identity. Why do some Muslim women need to cover their faces and dress from head to toe in black? Is it really necessary in this country? (I've heard it's not but someone put me straight). If people took onboard the way we live then it would help a lot. You go to certain countries and you have to take your shoes off in certain places and dress appropriately and that has to be respected, so respect for the English ways should be shown over here too. Yes it makes me very angry when you see protests being held in the UK against the west. Do you remember the picture of the baby wearing a hat that said something like "I love al-quai-eda (sorry can't spell it!) or something similar? And the muslim clerics inciting hate against us whilst using our hard earned money to feed his sprogs. And yes I have seen people holding up signs asking for Sharia Law (NEVER going to happen). It's these people who should be rounded up into a police van straight away, benefits stopped and thrown back into the channel so they can swim back to where they came from. And on the other side of it stop stereotyping the peaceful muslims that love and respect this country and our way of life.

This is a racist question and although i am not a muslim, im sure this sort of question is one of the reasons why the muslim community feels uncomfortable at present.
you are being exceptionally naive about this sensitive situation and i believe you should think research your facts. The vast majority of muslims are perfectly law abiding and yet comments like this suggest all muslims are some how hatting the west
If, as you put it we are providing shelter for these "war-torn, brainwashed countries" inhabitants. then what sort of shelter are we providing if, once in this country they are treated like criminals
I apologise if this seems rude, but such an ignorant question demanded a blunt answer

That's kind of a generalization, but the reason some people don't like the west, the US in particular is because elements of Western society are everywhere. Go to almost any other country and you will find McDonald's or Coca-Cola. Influences from the west that change everyday life in other countries is constant. The same thing happens in the United States, immigrants from south of the border are coming to the US in large numbers, as soon as this happens the xenophobia kicks in, and people want to protect their way of life. See it's sort of the same thing. People fear that their way of life is going to be destroyed, and fear can be very powerful.

I think that we should welcome all foreigners in to the UK.
PROVIDING that they have a job offer and means of supporting themselves.
That way, we can keep the ethnic minorities and mix in the UK, but we can also reduce extremists who come over here with the idea of blowing us up.
I went to Edgware Road yesterday, and lets just say, I was nervous watching everyone, and everyone was watching me.
I'm white and was wearing a suit !!!!
Everyone deserves to live in the same space, but we should not fear to walk in our country.
We invaded Iraq to remove Hussain in order to allow those citizens the ability to walk around their country without being blown up or killed, so why the hell do extremists see the need to blow up trains ?
If you want to make a point, blow up Parliament or something.....we'd probably all cheer and have a party and say you were the best religion on the planet if you did that....I admit the Suicide Bombers have guts and commitment in order to blow themselves up, but for f**ks sake, don't do the trains, or the public, get a politician if you have a problem with them or their policies

America is called the "melting pot" for a reason. People can come here and live their life almost as close as it was in their own country. Although I feel that having another person with different beliefs in our school system or anything, does not mean that we as Americans need to take the American Flag or the Star Spangled Banner or the Pledge of Allegiance out of the picture b/c the person(s) that came here do not follow those same beliefs. Same goes for taking the quote "In God We Trust" off our currency. Those words, those songs, that pledge and that flag or any symbol associated with American tradition were in place to help form our country and to insure the rights of all persons. No matter what belief, culture, god or gods, or anything else the people have. That's the beauty of our country we have the right to choose our beliefs and let others who come here to believe what they want to believe in too. So I guess I agree with you as well, Please do not come to our country and ask us to change our traditions because you don't believe in them. You have the right to express a difference of opinion on some traditions, but we don't have to change them to satisfy you.
I think that anyone who comes to America to better their life or that just come here is amazing. We must of done something right if everyone wants to be here. Live and let live to everyone. Teach me your way of life and I'll listen. Just please do the same with me. Thanks y'all!

It's simple, they hate Christianity, and they blame the immorality of the world on the U.S. Take away those 2 things, no-one has any more problems. (Both of those things are talked about in the Koran)

I don't think generalisations like that is very fair, why don't we turn it around? Why do the west not leave rich muslim states alone? Answer, because of their oil!
