The Second Amendment, because it enforces the rest. Clearly, the forefathers thought the First Amendment was the most important, because it was the first one they issued. However, they quickly realized that the First Amendment needed something to protect it from the government, hence the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
The first act of a tyrannical government is to disarm its citizens. Some short-sighted idiots think that this is no longer true. Look at countries that recently took away their citizens' firearms. Their violent crime rates have shot up. Crime is the first loss of your civil rights.

I agree with Dr. Tandem. Without the second Amendment you could not have any freedoms. It was the fact that the early colonists were armed that they were able to overthrow the British Army. I believe that all of our freedoms are under attack by government. I believe that our many people take their freedoms for granted. I will fight and defend the freedom for people to say stupid things like the guy who thinks the right to "bare" arms is so that you can kill your dinner. The right to bare arms is so that you can get a nice tan and wear sunglasses so you look cool dude.

The first amendment which protects freedom of free expression and the press. Without protection for those who speak the truth our country would slip into darkness. Makes me wonder why repulbicans fight so hard against freedom of speech and are the only ones that talk about "balancing freedom". If the founding fathers heard about how the repulbicans talk about Balancing freedom with other objectives they would vomit!

Doesn't matter, the first 10, our "Bill of Rights" are inaliable rights that are equally important. These rights apply no matter who you are or where you're from and are assumed to be had by even non-Americans when Americans deal with them. These first 10 are ABSOLUTE right, and are the law of the land above all else. NO LAW and NO SITUATION can suspend these rights.
i am not kidding.

Everyone, except for the right to bare arms. We don't live in colonial times where it is necessary to kill for food. This is an old and outdated amendment.

the 9th and 10th
the 9th states that peoples rights aren't limited to the constitution
( the founding fathers knew there were other natural rights they hadn't discovered)
and the 10th reserves power to the states, it protects them from an all powerful govt.
