Ignore them and do not allow the media to make money off of featuring them. We give Hollywood and others the power to make political statements (i.e. Barbara Streisand, Bono, Ben Affleck, Dixie Chicks, etc.). Why do we listen? Who cares? If we would stop listening, watching, and hitting them in the pocket book, they might shut up!
Most of them are uneducated and politically ignorant and incompetent to be speaking out on the subjects they speak of.

If we lived in a way that all of us made society better then we wouldn't have Bono and others telling us what to do because we would already have a fair , just, and environmentally friendly society

They want history because it is the food of society and the allure of mankind. As long as they have the brain not for economics and a sense of justice, not phony apreciation for their race and culture, many are still to believe that some came good out of Europe. Those deranged ones even insist they invented cars and better fashion. Is that some?
History is already taking care of alerting future society of liars and beggers. They sure are the majority in those wonderful books, but I do not believe them either. Sure it seems silly to regard history as a book, but we can close those erratic pages and forget of their presence and life.

The celebrity worship culture we have in this country is ridiculous. We have made heroes and millionaires out of grown men who play little boys games, and people who play dress up and pretend for a living. We should start to ignore them, focusing on the things in life that are important like friends, family, and the betterment of ourselves and our communities. What has any celebrity ever done for you, except try to get more of your money?

Stop elevating them to a God-like status for acting and singing. Does anyone remember the old days where entertainers were the JOKERS of the court and were ridiculed regularly? Whatever happened to that?
