author AND genius, a genius author - i've read and i have all his books - his 5-book Hitch-Hiker's trilogy, his 2 Dirk Gently mysteries, the post-humously published Salmon of Doubt, he had an amazing grasp of time, as weird as it got, it stayed consistent - he is deeply missed

Genius! The recent movie was terrible. Watch the original BBC TV series.

I really like the long dark tea time of the soul. Dirk Gentlys holistic detective agency is awesome! i liked the hitchhikers series as well.
I love it.
You know who I miss more, though? Roger Zelasney. I wish he had finished the book he was writing. The Amber series' were unbelievable.

I do. I grew up with my father reading me the HHG books and to this day I still enjoy them. He was a genius, but a very confusing one to understand. It was indeed a terrible loss whenever he died.

A tragic loss. At least we have his last input for the movie version of "Hitchhikers".

Sorry, I agree with HZA, Zelazny was great and the whole world is poorer without him.
