I would like to hear some success stories of women who conceived using the fertility drug Clomid. I am currently in my 12th cycle with Clomid and am up to 250mg.

I do see a reproductive endocrinologist. I have been with him for nearly 2 years. It IS safe to do more than 4 cycles of clomid--I have ultrasounds every cycle to check for cysts and take birth control when necessasary to disapate them. Thanks for the reply, but I do know what I am doing, I just wanted some to hear some success stories for hope!

I got pregnant using clomid. I started at 50mg and was upped to 100mg. I got pregnant on the 100... but I miscarried because there were just too many babies (the doctors believed it was going to be quadruplets!).

But having gotten pregnant on the clomid and then miscarrying made me ovulate on my own without the drug and I was pregnant one month after I miscarried and didn't need the clomid to do it!

So it can happen! Just be patient! And good luck!

I use Clomid (200mg) on cycle days 3-7 & go in for a ultrasound on cycle day 14 & if my eggs are bigger than 20mm then I get a shot of Norval to make me ovulate within 36 hours and go home & get busy. So far it has worked twice (both resulting in a miscarriage) out of 3 times. Sometimes clomid will dry you up but I have never had that problem.

Good luck!

I dont know why you are on your 12th cycle of Clomid. It is not recommended for use after 4 cycles becasue it can cause HUGE HUGE cyst and the last thing you need is for that cyst to rupture and you lose the very ovary you are needing to conceive. I am assuming you are seeing an OB/GYN for this. You should really see a Reproductive Endocrinologist. OK. Clomid

Best taken cycle day one through five. HCG injection will release the ripened eggs. Clomid can cause cervical mucous to be hostile which means it will actually kill sperm instead of nourishing them and assisting them to travel up the vaginal canal. IUI (intrauterine insemination) increases the chances of conception because the best of the best sperm are chosen, the sperm are closer to the egg (sperm are very stupid, seriously), and it bypasses the cervical mucous in case it is hostile.

Success story, ME. I have a set of five year old twins. Clomid and HCG injection with IUI. I conceived the first attempt. BTW, I am a nurse working toward my Master's Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practioner. My desire is either Nurse Midwife or Reproductive Endocrinology. Good luck and GO SEE AN RE ! ! !

I am currently on my second cycle of 50 mg of clomid. Next week I'll know if it worked this month. I have heard that it drys up your CM. Sperm do not live long in dry vaginal areas. Good luck to you!
