People...
Get rid of people, get rid of problems...

On a serious note. Poverty is a sustained condition. In nature, those that are poor or are unable to fend for themselves die off in a process called natural selection. In a society supported by governments, with a very skeleton-like and greed motivated form of charity (you know you do it just for the tax breaks) those poor and less fortunate people are sustained by a bare minimum and create the lower class we see so much of today...

Is it better or more moral that these unfortuante people have to live a more arduous life? who knows. At least, unlike in nature, the have a chance at going somewhere new...

Poverty has existed for millenia. It has been and will always be a part of the human race. Cultures have changed, technologies improved, science explored and yet it still exists. This is why I believe that the Lord God almighty, the great I AM, has allowed this to exist to test man's mettle. How will I relate to these who are subject to such conditions, will I have compassion or turn away. This reveals the condition of that person's heart. 1 John 4:8; God is Love. With His spirit of grace in your life you allow His love to effectually work through you. He is glorified, they are blessed, you are rewarded.

Too many people...too little resources...We have the food resources, but the distribution is a major hassle. People keep the food from getting to the needy or there is no easy way to get the food to the needy. This will never change in our lifetimes because we do not have the will to change it... Dreadful... but a condition for life on this small orb.

Bad governments that want all the money for themselves and their particular definition of the "ruling class." Unfortunately, the USA is slowly heading in that direction.
