Ken Lay did not fake his death. Don't you think that a man who was facing serious jail time would be watched fairly closely? Before we start making wild accusations lets look at this rationally. The man worked hard his entire life to get to where he was in corporate america. He undoubtedly made some less than moral decisions along the way that he was forced to live with. Now throw in the stress that goes along with having an important position in a publicly traded corporation. That alone is recipe for a bevy of illnesses.
But the real kicker is the fact that the man has been through a tough trial that must have been very emotional for him. As much as he is hated, he is still a human who has feeling and suffers from stress. With jail time in his imminent future, his thoughts destroyed his body.
To say that he either induced or faked his death is giving him way too much credit. He is a regular guy who got rich and died tryin'.

I think ken lay took something that caused his heart attack just to avoid prison. As a matter of fact that is the first thing i though of when i heard it on the news but do you think we will ever get the real story. Not with his high paid attornies.

Nah..how can you possible fake death ?? The man could not come to terms with the fact that he would be serving time in prison. Many times these people with such prestigious positions in life think they are 'untouchable' and when things crumble they fall apart, cannot take it and it takes a toll on the human heart.

Let's examine some info---He "died" over a holiday weekend. The only person outside the family to confirm death was the coroner. Within days of Lay's reported death, his attorneys were filing papers to have the monetary punishment of his crime removed. He wasn't stabbed, or shot, or mutilated in car wreck, but his body was cremated. The funeral service in Houston was attended by several dignitaries. I don't know the answer, but maybe he read ATLAS SHRUGGED.

Regardless if the guy faked it or not. Judgement will come to him....maybe it was the heart attack-who knows. He may think he is in peace but who knows what happens when you die-maybe he might be tortured by the devil or GOD. Why do people care for this anyways?

He is dead - the coroner had his body on the slab. I think he either was induced or did something to avoid both jail and losing all of his assets. Now that he is dead, he is no longer liable for the $43Mil in fines and penalties.

I think he did in fact pass away, after all I don't believe he would just leave his wife and kid's behind and never have contact with them again. His family and his church were his foundation and backbone.Wrong or right dead or alive he and all of us will soon be in front of the ultimate judge.

Of course he did. He is now in the witness protection program. Bush couldn't let "Kenny Boy" go down. Not to worry he'll be brought to justice.
