Men are primarily interested in youth and beauty in the opposite sex, while women are primarily interested in money and social status in the opposite sex. Instinctively, men seek women who appear capable of bearing healthy children, thus their obsession with physical appearance. Instinctively, women seek men who have the resources to take care of them and their children, thus their obsession with money.

Actually, I know that some men prefer heavier women. I am thin, though for several years I haven't been underweight, but I still get told by some people that I'm too skinny, though most people would say that I'm just right. Since I myself am not attracted to skinny men, I can understand that both men and women simply have their preferences. That's a good thing...chances are there is somebody for almost everyone no matter their size.

I personally find women who aren't rail thin attractive. It's all a matter of opinion anyway. There are attractive heavy-set guys, just as women with added weight are deemed voluptuous.

I don't think that's true. I've seen a lot of heavy women that are absolutely beautiful, just as I've seen a lot of skinny women that are not at all attractive.

Didn't know that. :S I always thought fat men were considered unnattractive by women. Personally I find fat in general not really to my taste, but really, I think its up to each person's personal sense of aesthetics.

I don't think it is that way. I think it's just that heavier men decide to make a bigger effort to be more polite and nice in order to attract women, since they don't have looks, but bigger women, honestly...tend to get bitchier because they are scared of how everyone else perceives them.
