This is to all Canadians and Americans. Americans do you care who is doing what up here? Do you even know? Canadians do you think the country is in trouble now that Harper is "chumming" with the war loving Bush?

I think Canada needs to start moving away from the states, we're too dependant on them. We also need to stop the conservative trend, we don't want america's global image as an aggressive arrogant country. We should diversify our trade more, but it's hard. American industry owns us.

Rather a broad statement about Bush being war loving. We were attacked and 3000 people died. There had to be a response. Bush did what was demanded of him by the people at the time, I doubt he is war loving.
But I am not surprised that Harper is now getting closer to Bush. Bush is the leader of America right now and trade agreements and international measures will still go on. Blair was chummy with Clinton as much as he is with Bush because leaders recognize that to deal with the US you have to deal with the President, no matter who he is or what party he belongs to. You can disagree with a nations policy and still have relations with them.

I think Canada-US relations will eventually improve. Americans will tire of the failed Republican policies and with a minority government Harper knows he can't push too far right. Trade is relatively good, security cooperation is good, and the Amercans who visit here like us as much as the Canadians who visit there... we are still good neighbours to each other. Even in Quebec.

You better believe that I think Canada is in trouble. Harper should not be snogging with a War Criminal. We don't want to go around with the blood of innocents dappled on our hands. Especially since one of their stinking lakes is threatening to pollute the Red River and put ecosystems at risk and general human health. To save our selves I think Bush should go. I'm not afraid to say it. He msut go!
