The question should not be how much money would it take to end poverty in Africa. Rather, how many people will it take to eliminate the corruption that has decimated the African Villages. In essence the Continent of Africa is richer than all the rest of the continents combined.

Money is coincidental to ending poverty anywhere. What is needed in Africa is Europeans, Americans and others with skills relative to providing examples of proper behavior.

For example, if about 250 million of our brightest and best "middle class" professionals etc. on North America moved to Africa, leaving their assets here however, Africa would benefit from this migration of geniuses, who'd help Africans learn how to become more like them?

This would have the added advantage of leaving North America's suburbs empty for "the poor" to move to, in those cities and towns where socially and otherwise illiterate adult aged children play house and play family like they're all in the movies or on TV trying to impress each other? Leaving only working people in The USA and Canada, however, required to maintain civilization's infrastructures.

Economically (academically) the answer to your question is quite simple: For everyone in Africa to live like the average American, for example, there isn't enough money or anything else left on Earth to provide for that.

The USA, with about 5% of the world's population, uses about 60% of the world's resources for The American Dream: A global nightmare t hat's actually The British Dream re: Common...wealth for 6+ billion people trying to emulate royalty and/or how 12 year olds would live, they say, if my grade 7 class was rich?

Perhaps we should try ending poverty in The USA and Canada first? It gets cold here in the winter, and there are more and more families living in the streets apparently. You?

Sincerely,

Bryan C

About three years ago, I read a newspaper article entitled "Tough Love For Africa". It cited the rampant corruption and huge errors made by African governments which keep the continent mired in abject poverty.

The article also put the issue in perspective: even if Africa generated a stunning 3.5% increase in GNP every year, and sustained that rate of development without interruption, it would take 200 years for them to reach the level of prosperity in the West.

Read this article by Dinesh D'Sousa, and you will never think about the situation in the same way again:

millions at least
but money isn't the only factor that could stop poverty
we also need to find a way to dispute the food to people in the country where its hard to reach by the main road
If we send the money that we spend on pop and junkfood every day to those in need we may just be able to do it

No amount, as long as there is wars, ignorance, droughts and Muslims there, poverty will remain. The Muslims drove people from their homes, burned their fields and sent them to the dessert to die in Sudan.

It's going take more than money. Its going to take an incredible amount of effort to make sure that the help gets to those who need it.
