I am generally pro-immigration, but I do think that we need to take a leaf out of the same book as the french and other europeans and start putting restrictions on it.

I mean, the latest figures suggest that there could be as many 500,000 polish people living and working in the UK, we are overcrowded with a population of 65million, so that is 1 in every 130 people in Britain that is potentially Polish. (Source, Yahoo! News yesterday (6th July))

Furthermore, in reality the illegal immigrants are not the worst problem, it is bad that we have so many illegals freely wandering around, but what concerns me more is that fact that the legal immigrants, in this case the polish as above, are billed by the government as being perfectly acceptable because quote "97percent are in full time work" I guess that they didn't do the math and figure out that is nearly 500,000 jobs taken away from British Citizens (Of all colours; creeds etc etc, not racist or islamaphobic or any of that rubbish) just because Poland joined the EU and the Poles saw that Britain were the only European country that doesn't restrict foreign nationals living and working abroad.

Unbelievable. But of course you must remember that a large number of immigrants do have good reasons to be here and many would suffer abuse, torture or even execution if they went back to their home countries.

Oh thank god, someone after my own heart. I take my hat off to you buddy, we as a nation that once had the right to put GREAT in front of it have to stand up and start saying no. NO F'ing more.
We are going to have to all stand togeather and let the government know that we do not want £8 million a year going to India fo example, and goodness knows how much going else where. Charity has got to start at home, where we have got problems of our own. Stop giving houses to everyone who turns up on our doorstep, and cash handouts, and jobs, and benefits ETC ETC.
We have elderly people dying of cold in our winters, we have the highest % unwanted teenage pregnancies. Sod giving contraceptives and education to the third world countries. Give it to the kids in this country. They shell out kids to get a council house. They are often from a 3rd or even in some cases 4th generation familly of dolite scroungers. This is just the surface, I could go on all night. Rock on Pal, tell it as it is. F the PC do gooders. If they wanna help, let them go over there and help, and see how even they get treated. Shot, alot of them, alot of helpers over there are shot, raped and beaten up by underfed undereducated poor people, jealous for the lifestyle we have, and cant have.
400 years ago, before the age of Media Moguls the Press and like, if there were a famine in Africa or somewhere, it would have been natures natural wastage. We would have never have known about it.
I am not a complete sh1t, I do have feelings, I do feel sorry for the 3rd world, but not at the expense of trying to make Britain GREAT once again
Amen.

No they haven't taken over..... study the figures and the stats and you'll fine they won't take over for at least 20 years....( Actually 37 years based on last years figures, but the trend is rising.). I consider the world overpopulated....look at the pressure on wildlife, fish stocks and the environment. The world is overpopulated. The UK has one of the highest population densities in the world. We should have shut the gates 30 years ago. No exceptions. We are cramming more into an over full island.......stupidity of the politicians , who just see lower labour costs increased production, and higher GDP and hence more global clout. Politicians are power hungry by nature, so they are unlikely to do anything sensible that conflicts with their needs.

Here here! Although I have nothing against people coming over here to work for a living legally it's the illegal immigrants that should be stopped and now. They are making a mockery of our country and our benefits system. We simply don't have enough room and thinking about it we should have a points system like Australia even for people wanting to come over here legally.

yes the immigrants are taking over the asylum but how to stop them well i don't know.
do you post guards on every coast line and shoot to kill.
blast hard setting foam down the channel tunnel because if you blew it up wouldn't England be under water. what gets me is why do they cross so many countries to get here. if we gave a different view of what the get when they get here we might not look as inviting.

I agree with Desert Queen. This person don't seem to understand his country's history. Also these so call immigrants have contributed to Britain's prosperity in more ways than one.

Wake up! All Britons are immigrants. Enjoy the colour and beauty they bring to an otherwise small petty boring country. Bonjour!

That's rich coming from a country who's invaded & occupied most other nations at one time or another.
