This question pertains to the air bags on the tag axle of a big truck.?

Do the air bags on the tag axle of a big truck need to be centered when they fill up or can they be tilted backwards or forwards a little?

I suppose it depends on what you mean by a little tilt. They are best if vertical so that the bags can absorb the bouncing force equally and uniformly around their circumference. Too much tilt and that force will be unequally distributed to the lower section of the bag.

it shouldnt hurt them any if it is tilted a little i never looked to see if i was on level ground befor i inflated them again i just did it and nothing happined . so i think you are ok just do it
