Argentina was never very rich in minerals i/e Gold, silver etc. so, much like in the US the native population was competition for resources farmland, grassing rights etc. so there was no vested interest in enslaving the native population rather in eliminating it to avoid competition.

In Argentina the natives first were never very numerous and second they were eliminated by a state sanctioned policy for decades.

In American we group ourselves into main race categories like black, white, hispanic, asian.
In S. America, however, people classify race very differently. They have tons of different racial terms!
Even people of mixed heritage (with one white parent) are still considered white. I think that differs from America where if a person doesn't have two white parents they aren't considered white.

1. Nazis went there by the thousands.

2. What hispanics and latinos consider white others would call brown or black.

Mariah Carey is half Venezulan in her fathers country she'd be wihite in the US she is black. To me she is hispanic.
