right after....it doesnt set in yet. This wrinkly, squirmy thing that grunts and makes weird noises. As you learn to care for it, how the baby likes to be fed, burped, changed, held, put to sleep.........it becomes a part of your everyday routine. But still.......not really connected.
As the weeks go on...and the baby starts to change. Opens its eyes more, stays awake more , and then the baby starts to look at you and eventually gives a smile.
Thats when you know you've connected.

Everyone is different. Sometimes women get very depressed and they need to tell a doctor or it can be dangerous. It has to do with hormone levels, etc. Others are very happy for months until depression sets in a bit.

(see exhausted), joyfilled, amazed, in awe, full of wonder, scared, confident, happy, want another one immediately, poor (they ain't cheap), harried at times, grateful, newly organized, PROUD!
