Ok.
Big PS2- You should buy the Network Adaptor. It comes with a disc that will get you started with setting up your "Network Configuration". It also comes with some demo games to try it out.
Slim PS2- You don't need the adaptor but it still comes with a disc to get you started. Unfortunatly, this is Broadband only so if you have dial-up, sucks for you. Incase you don't, here you go. Get it all set up and there you go.
As the games, some come for Broadband and Dial Up, yet most are Broadband Only. Let's take EA's Burnout 3 for instance. If you decide to play that online, you don't need to register at ea.com, they will let you register online at PS2 world

yea, lots of people, including me, still play PS2 online cuz we cant afford to buy every new console that comes out. Ive seen up to 100 people playing games like NCAA Football 07 online and as little as two or 3 playing games like FIFA World Cup 06. I dont know about the gamnes that you mentioned, but Battlefront may be the most popular.

If you have a slim ps2 then just pop in the game, do the network configuration (just follow the steps). By the way, if they ask for a phone number that your isp gives you just enter your phone #.
If you have a "chunky" then you'll need to buy a network adaptor.

Some games make you go online and register first. You may need to register the PS2 and the video game before you can play. Most of them require paid memberships

your ps2 should have come w/ a disc put it in and do wat it says to do 4 the internet connection wen ur done put in the game u want to play and pick play online and create an account and then play :)
