If you're too emotionally crippled to understand compassion, consider the practical political aspects. Poor starving nations often turn to terrorism and war out of desperation. Also, if you're poor and starving, how can you contribute? Raising the standard of living in the poorer nations of the world raises the global economy. Look at the governmental money that Bono is encouraging. Governments don't contribute these sums to emulate Mother Teresa, they do it to encourage political stability and economic growth.

Its called compassion.All people should help those that are in need , whether its a three year old trying to cross a busy street or a people on the verge of distinction due to starvation.hopefully you will never experience a need for help and the only one there to help you is someone with the same morals as you .
