Well, I can tell you this: I'm a mom to a 14 month old girl and a four yr. old girl and my babysitters charge $8.00 for one kid an hr. and $12 for two. Remember that I'm in NY and these are our babysitting rates. Put on your flyer that you are reliable and trustworthy. Add if you have babysitting experience too. Tell your friends, family and neighbors. They'll spread the word. Good luck!

In order to be competitive, you have to first find out how much babysitters in you community get's paid. Someone might charge $12 per hour in New York and in Kentucky it might be $7 per hour. You should put your experience on the flyer, how you feel about children, references available upon request, your rates, your phone number or the best way to reach you and the age group the child you are interested in babysitting. Whether your age is an issue that depends on the parents. As far as how much money you should charge for each additional child, that depends on how much you think it is worth to babysit more than one child at a time. Most people charge a few dollars extra. You must work this out with your potential employer. I hope I was helpful.

My daughter just did one on the internet the other day. There are a lot of sites on the internet. Red Cross has a babysitters guide too.
go to Ask jeeves for kids under ask.com
type in "babysitting guides"
then press go
then press make your own flyer

That price is exactly what my daughter put on hers

What is your training? What is your experience? Why should i hire you? When are you available? Where do you live? Do you have your own transportation? What hours and days can you babysit? How responsible are you? Do you have references? What experience do you have with kids? What will you do with my kids? Do you know how to take care of my kids? How did you learn? Can i pay you by check? Etc.

Here in TX I think your rates are pretty fair. List your experience and any training you have had (cpr, babysitting class...) on your flyer. If you have neighborhood mailboxes put them on there. Hang in grocery store, library and you could also put them on the windshields of cars in your neighborhood.
