Most of the times, the problem is that we are using products containing mineral oil and alcohol and fragrances these all are very damaging for our skin's health.... mineral oil because it is an ingredient that is derivated form petroleum....it will be like using car oil and exposing your self to the sun in fact it is the 2nd worse thing you could do to your skin (1st thing will be the sun) using fragrances or chemicals or dyes are known irritants and can cause allergic reactions. what i use to shave my legs would be a face wash formulatted without these i have told you about ... it is called Nutrimin-C RE9 Face wash: look for it at the left margin under anti-aging.... I know it is a face wash but honestly it is great and leaves your skin smooth and shinny.... and after that you can put their body lotion fast without waiting for it will not give you a reaction or sting.... https://secure.myarbonne.com/arbonne/arb...

Shaving is the worst way of removing hair. It makes it thicker, darker, and it roughens the skins overall. Most people prefer this method due to lack of time; its quick& easy. I personally shaved for years until I tried waxing, and saw the difference it made to my skin. It was so much cleaner, and actually made my skin softer. Most of all, it lasts a whole month! Its worth it. When I want to save half the time, I use Silk Epil, which does the same job in waxing in less time and with almost no mess.

If you must shave, the best way to prevent those red spots from appearing is to make sure you never shave on dry skin. Make sure the area has warm soap or a shaving cream with some moisturizer/vitamin E. It's also better to shave in the shower or bath. Try putting any frozen food pack from the fridge on your legs for a few minutues. If doesnt cool them down, at least you'll feel better!

I work at a day spa and we have been asked this question many times. I have found that shaving with lotion, not shaving cream, not soap, to be the most beneficial. Also, try using a loofah for a few days, before you shave. This will exfoliate your skin and allow hairs to stand up straight without your skin being irritated. Always moisturize right after shaving as well. Hope that helps

Always take a sharp razor, best a new one. If you still get red bumps try Papulex from Creaderm. It's a gel normally used with acne, but it really helps. Or try a cream that contains a small dose of cortisone.
