Sadly, the monkeys did get cheated out of their overtime. It didn't even occur to them to unionize, until they came back from space a race of superintelligent primates. When Mr. Bubbles, the Union President brought their demands to NASA, management fired them all and hired lesser evolved humans to replace them. Just to rub salt in their simian wounds, the humans were Air Force, so they still didn't have to pay overtime!
