France - simply because its Zidane's last game and he will be soooo fired up to win that he will motivate the whole team to go for it. Italy might be a better side, but France is mentally more willing to win

France, because Zidane and Henry will win the CUP for France. As a team France has shows more Will and Grit than any team in the World Cup and that is one of the reason they are playing in the Finals.

Until now Italy didnt prove anything, their only played really well during the second half of extra time against Germany, had an average display against Ukraine and Ghana, and stuggled against Tchek rep, USA and Australia.
Even though France struggled in the first match against Switzerland, and had an average display against Korea and Togo, they then played (and won) against much stronger teams (Spain, Brazil, Portugal), and their display against Spain and Brazil was outstanding.
So, from what we saw on the last 3 games, France is clearly ahead ... but who knows !

France of course it won against very strong and tough teams as Spain,Brazil(of course!) and Portugal while Italy did not play well against Germany
