Quit talking about it with him. Let him do it on his own. Sounds like he wants to surprise you. Eternity isn't long enough to wait if you really love him. Maybe you shouldn't have moved in with him. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?

If he's not ready then there's no sense in pushing him. Two people who are in different stages of a relationship should not be married. Be patient, but let him know what you think.
