they will win 52 games...ben wallace's talents were declining but the only problem for detroit was they got nothing in return for wallace....the void left by wallace will be filled by antonio mcdyess and possibly nazr mohamed....mcdyess will average 13 and 8 for the pistons and nazr would be competent at best....all in all they would be weaker than last yr...altho prince is set for a breakout year...the bench is too thin to be able to compete in the east...52 wins is still good but it signals an end of another era for the pistons....

nicely, we are going to see what they're truly made from now. Joe Dumars doesn't appear like a dummy. i have observed this Pistons crew is okay run. seem at who we've...Tayshaun, Rip, Chauncey, Rasheed, dice...we make useful acquisitions and characteristic an smart the front workplace. It doesn't even seem Ben Wallace turned right into a lot of a ingredient very last year. i actually do seem to imagine he's puffed up in a way. many years in the past, he gave the impression to be an offensive rebound monster that would continually provide Chucky Atkins and Chauncey an excellent style of possibilities to take second 3's. Now, after Rasheed become received, i have observed Ben's effectiveness gave the impression to be in decline. He doesn't truly get those rebounds anymore. If we make some key acquisitions, Ben Wallace isn't neglected, and Chicago would comprehend they made an excellent mistake. i do not imagine this turned right into a shiny bypass. Ben is nicely worth 5-8 million a year lengthy-time period, era.

Yes they will, will they be contenders of course they will, they will make changes and cover the defensive void left by Big Ben. Their new offensive scheme will be more effective now after a year with Flip Saunders. They can move Sheed to the center position and have McDysse take the PF spot. They will be faster now without Big Ben. Prince will have a breakout year. What they need to do to insure a play-off spot is to find a back-up for Chauncy. Hunter will be back but he will be the oldest in the team.
It woul have been nicer if Big Ben was stil there but, they are professional players and that is their job, they get paid for what they do and Chicago thinks he is worth taht much. In the long run the Pistons will benefit from this move since Ben will be getting older and it would be even harder to replace him if they sign him to a long-term contract. It was a business move on the part of Joe Dumars.

The Pistons will miss him, but they made the right decision. In a few years they will have cap room to pick up several players that would help them more than Big Ben. It's money because that's what the players want, they have a union contract and they signed it.

idk, they will get nazr muhammad who had solid minutes with the spurs when he was healthy/when they won the title in 2005, but he wont be half of the player ben wallace is. wallace cant hit a free throw or a jump shot, but he brought so much energy to the pistons that irreplacable, we'll have to see in 2007 if the pistons can continue without him

I doubt that they will win anything more than a first round playoff series if that. I don't think that the Pistons can make another deep playoff run.
