This guy lives in NY and I live in SC. We had an extremely brief relationship. I am now back with my previously boyfriend and he knows that, although he continues to email and text message me and still thinks there is a chance between us. We're not kids, he's 41 and I'm 37. He's borderline stalker, so I don't want to piss him off and he's a cop and is used to getting his way. Any suggestions?

Go pay him a visit with your current boyfriend. Go to meet him and both of you be nice as nice can be. Offer him both of your friendships as a couple. Be overwhelming. Ask him to dinner and talk nonstop. Have your boyfriend give Him a hug. It may be greatly out of character but I think Mr. NY would have enough sense to leave you alone after that. And it will be his decision so he won't have any reason to be angry with you. Good luck! I just read most of the responses. Hello he is a police man. I think he can get ahold of an unlisted phone number. When are people going to learn not to run and hide. We need to take care of the problem at the root. Sorry, just frustrated. Have a good day. I feel for you.

Have you changed your e-mail acct? Change your telephone number too. Stalkers are very real, and If you are not sure that he isn't I,would put seek help for this matter. Just try and not respond to him. I,agree that somebody at this age, should get a hold of his life. Being a Cop doesn't make you above all. When the uniform comes off he is still a man, hopefully not one with allot of emotional,baggage...Good Luck.

Email him one more time and tell him that you have a new boyfriend now, and if he doesn't get the hint, block his address on your email and get a new phone number so he can't call you.

don't be nice. be honest. be direct. be firm. make sure he knows that you are not interested anymore and tell him why (i.e. you have gotten back to your prev bf, etc). if you are not honest and direct he may think there is still hope and, therefore, he may feel that keep trying will get him closer to you.

then stop answering emails/txts.

changing ph #, address, etc may not work well since he knows how to get that.

Block his email addy, so that nothing he sends you comes in and just ignore the text messages....Eventually he will get the clue and leave you alone, hopefully...Good luck!

Inform him that your are terminating your email address/account and changing your cellphone number. Then don't answer him at all.

Restraining order - unlisted phone number - change your cell number - plastic surgery - consider moving.

Have you tried not responding to his emails/text messeges and then not answering his calls for awhile. Or, if you do, make it very breif and short.
