Of course haven't you noticed a small gear stick under their left wing, they push it forward to go forward and backwards to go backward, it connects to their legs and feet, their feet swivel to face the back when they move the gear stick backwards, so simple really.

I'm pretty sure they don't because of the way their wings are located... They go only in one direction..
