He's always had the team built around him, first Benetton, now Ferrari and the cars are designed to suit his driving style. Also, he's perfected the art of forcing others drivers off the track (the ones that are a threat to him - Mika Hakkinen at the Macau F3 Grand Prix and Damon Hill at Adelaide and Jacques Villeneuve at Jerez).
He'll be remembered as a good driver, not a great one; great drivers don't force others off the track.

Simple, like all good drivers he keeps more speed through the corner, and carries more speed to the straight. The better you are in performing this seemingly simple task the faster laptimes you have (besides tactics, not making mistakes, being concentrated, following the line that is best suited to your driving style and the car), and this in fact is the essence of any racing sport. How to achieve this is a different question. Tests have shown that faster drivers correct the car with gas or wheel more often than slower drivers, thus achieving optimum traction, and not loosing speed through the corner. A slower driver can have an identical car, an identical line, the same entry speed into the corner, but driving on the limit will cause loss of traction and sliding. A fast driver catches the car in the instant it starts to slide, with both the wheel and the gas (with hands and legs simultaneously), while a slower driver realizes a bit later, that the car is sliding, compensates for the slide with less skill (only catching the car with his or hers hands,...)
The drivers in F1 are some of the best drivers in the world, and they all know this basic theory, and they all try to follow it, but like in all sports some with more success than others. But the most important thing in F1 is the car.

because he has an AD/HD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) people with such conditions tend to be a perfectionists in their craft. Einstein, Thomas Edison, JFK, RF, john Lennon, tom cruise, will smith, magic Johnson are among people diagnosed with adhd. so this explains shumacher's total devotion to the sport and why he is constantly learning even if he is already the best there is today and arguably the best of all time.

the history books say it all.
michael schumacher is the most successful driver of all time.
the reality is he aint even top ten!
senna, prost, lauda, rosberg, mansell, clark, hill snr, surtees, piquet, stewart, fangio, moss, (enough).
given that schumachers main opposition has been either in inferior machinery or his own subordinate team mate.( barrichello's record prior to his ferrari days suggested maybe he was capable of beating michael) michael is not all he is cracked up to be.
as said before, when desparate he will run others off the track too.
this to me is not in keeping with the sport. it is win at all costs with michael even if it means that one day someone will die.
i hope it doesn't happen.

Because modern F1 cars are so much better than their predecessors. That being said, Schumacher does have an uncanny ability to crank out blisteringly fast laps when he needs to.

Before he gets in his car, he drinks 3 litres of water. Then by the 4th lap he's bursting for a P so he manages to gain that bit extra to make sure he's finished first before any of the other drivers get to the loo. There is only one dodgy porta loo for the drivers you know.!!

Fantastic???????????????
I don't think so. He is a cheat and if he cann't beat you fairly he will push you off the circuit. [remember Damon Hill]
Some people say that a good driver will do what it takes to win. But not by cheating and by unfair means. At the end of the day he is cheating himself. People will remember him for cheating and the unfairness not for great drives that he has had.
