I remember mine was a little overwhelming at first, I didn't know where anything was and the schedule my high school ran on was totally different then my middle school. (four classes a day instead of like 7 or 8) Don't worry too much though especially if you have any friends who are older then you, that can always help because they can show you around.

It will be a bit overwhelming, but manageable. Truthfully, I remember the first day of college better, but I'll try to think back. Make sure you know where all of your classes and your locker are ahead of time. Do you have friends going to your new school? If so, that would be nice. If not, don't worry. Lots of students will be in the same boat as you, and just as nervous. Just smile at people that you think look friendly and say hello. Your teachers will probably help you out by having the class introduce themselves--I think my English teacher did this, if not others.

i was so terrified!!! i had just moved to a new school district, but in the same city...and i was so glad that i knew at least 2 people! they were my friends that i had met in gymnastics and we were gonna be freshmen, but they of course knew TONS of people. so we decided to meet at this place on campus for lunch.
i was hoping to have at least 1 class with them, but no LUCK!!!!
i was completely new and i was so scared.
i got dropped off and i got there to school about 45 minutes early until my first class. i had no idea what to do...so i just walked around campus looking for my classes that i would be going to during the day...i knew where they were already, i just wondered around to make sure where they were so i wouldn't be late. and then that got boring and i had tons of time left...so i went to my first class, it was spanish, and i got to the classroom and the door was open. i walked in and i said hi to the teacher...but the whole room was empty. i felt like such a nerd for being there early...and i sat down in a seat and just looked at my schedule like an idiot! and then the teacher had me stamp these 3X5 index cards for restroom passes until class started...how boring was that.
our lunch time came i met up with my 2 friends...and then they took me to hang out with their friends. i didn't know we all had the same type of interests and to this day we're all great friends.
dont' worry about your first day...i'm sure your going to be with your friends from junior high...unlike me, i didn't have that advantage of having my jr. high friends there.
just don't dress in anyway that will get you jumped by some other girls. be friendly and everything will go fine.
