Sometimes I think the media goes too far. I was told once that if a celebrity was not in the Star, or the other tabloids they were no longer popular and would fade away into oblivion.

Absolutely, then hide behind the 1st Amendment. Anything that will sell more copies and make them more money. Unless they hit a nerve with a celebrity, it goes unchallenged as most people in the entertaininment biz think that being in the press is a good thing as long as it is not damaging to their ability to get work.

Obviously it is for the masses that will read anything about our dear celebrities as if they gave a damn about us. It makes them rich. But on another note, there is one tabloid that has recieved great praise for their true investigative journalism. I guess one can make silk out of a sows ear.

It keeps people buying and reading their rags. The tabloids make millions publishing their magazine and as long they have an audience they will continue to publish their magazines.

To make a story out of the rumor, the reaction, and the people involved. Also to sell papers and to attract attention that they were the first with the story.

Because when your waiting online in a super market, your going to pick up the magazine, when your halfway threw an article it's time to pay. but you want to finish so you buy it. then in a couple of days the sequel comes out and you have to buy that one to.

To sell there paper because they know people only want to here dirty little secretes not the celebs are doing great. we the people are just as bad because you know you always read them you cant stop
