I have had 3 kids. All naturally with no medication. My first son was a 13 hour labor, my second son was a 12 hour labor, and my daughter was an 8 hour labor. I enjoyed the fact that I had all my kids naturally and without drugs. Most people go right for the epidural, but I pride myself in the fact that I did not go that way and was able to have my children naturally. Good luck to you.

I was in labor for 12 hours without medication, then 6-7 hours after an epidural. I ended up having a c-section.

I think ten hours but I actually slept throught the first 4. I woke up at about 12 am feeling uncomfortable , went back to sleep and then woke again close to 5 am and realized I was in labor and my son was born by 10 am.

When I got to the hospital, I was 3 cm dilated, but hadn't been having painful contractions. From the time I got there (when they broke my water) until my son was born, it was 5 hours and 15 minutes.

Second was definitely shorter because he was an emergency c-section.

Neither were natural. i was going to try to do it naturally with my first one, but realized that I was f*cking nuts thinking that I could, so I got an epidural. Since the second one was a c-section, I had a spinal block.

My first was nearly 8 hours induced after being at the hospital all night with no progress. I was induced at 10 a.m. and gave birth at 7:30 p.m. Five days after due date. Stadol to relax me.

Second was 11 hours ending in an emergency c-section (cord wrapped around neck). This was a painful labor. Two days after due date. I had Stadol followed by general anesthesia.

Third was a breeze. Induced at 10:30 a.m. being 3 days overdue. I drank red raspberry leaf tea before and, yes, during early labor. I gave birth easily at 12:30 p.m. -- two hours -- with just stadol to relax me.

So it was hard, SUPER-HARD and great, in that order. I'd do it again though labor-wise (but I'm not planning any more kids).

The 1st one I was in labor for about 11 hours...it didn't really start bothering me until I was about 5 hours into it though. I only had hard labor for 45 minutes though...no drugs, all natural.

2nd one was 5 or 6 hours, no drugs, all natural, hard labor for about 45 minutes again.

My doctot sent me to the hospital to be induced. I got there at 11 a.m. on Feb 6th and had my son at 9:28 a.m on Feb 7th. So I had a long induction. He was my first so I have nothing to compare it to. I did have an epidural since the pain got pretty bad towards the end.
