My wife has the first name Mydalis, was weird in the beginning but I am used to it now. Its a spanish name that got mis-spelled its what im told.

I once had a friend named "Merry." not too odd, but her last name was "Christmas."
My mother used to work at the local town hall, and she'd hear various people come in with their dogs to register them for a dog license. A surprisingly common name for a dog was the odd name of dee-oh-gee, spelled "DOG."

I knew a guy whose name is sukdeep [Suck Deep], its an ethnic name and has meaning to it but it always gives me a kick.
Also, in South Africa, one of the guys who was working in a hotel had the character '!' in his name.
