rub conditioning oil in the glove. put your ball inside and tie it closed. or do what my husband does run over it with your pick-up truck. it took about two days for him to break in our girls gloves. they're in a little league and so far their 10-0 - undefeated with two more games to go!

Glove oil made by Rawlings or Wilson works real well in the pocket.You can also use this to keep it pliable and ready if you put it up for the winter. Of course lots of catch is the other half of this. If no ones around use a tennis ball bounced against a brick wall.

To break in your new glove:
- Play lots and lots of catch with it
- Rub mink oil all over it
- Put a baseball in it, wrap a shoestring around it tightly, then stuff it under a mattress and jump up and down on the bed
- Just set it on solid ground and jump on it.
... Good Luck... this worked for me... results in a month...

get some glove oil and either use it a lot or beat it with your baseball bat like I did. Or ask this lady;

Use mineral oil to soften it, then take a SOFTBALL, yes, a SOFTBALL, because it is bigger and will make a better pocket, and tie it in the glove over night.

put a large softball inside and rubberband it closed...let sit for a few days. You can also help it along with a conditioner sold at sporting goods stores...
