I was at the mall the other day and noticed a large number of people having to walk around with one hand on their pants to keep them from falling off. It seems like that would be a pain in the rear end. What is the deal with that and where did that start? It just seems so stupid and unnecessary to me.

i'll never understand why people wear such poorly fitting jeans. a lot of them claim they're more comfortable but i can't see what's so comfortable about pants that are about to fall off. loose or relaxed yes, hanging off their butt with the crotch at or below their knees, no. they can't even walk properly in them. one lad in our town was trying to run to the bus stop right in front of our house when his jeans fell around his ankles in front of a whole busload of people. i would be embarrassed to wear mine that way.

Peer pressure/stupidity, every generation has their thing. And yes eventually they'll get a belt, smaller pants, or grow a beer belly to keep the pants up.

Maybe it's so they can use the restroom without having to undo their pants? just kidding...I have no idea but find it utterly stupid. Guess we all do weird things when we're trying to "find ourselves" as we grow up. What I don't understand is the people who are old enough to have gotten past that phase and still do it. Seems pretty ghetto to me.

don't try to question trends.
there are so many of them.
and many of them are:
unattractive, pointless, and just plain stupid.
never confuse Fashion with Trends.
Fashion is about being aesthetically pleasing
or about being creative and expressive.
Trends are about trying to look fashionable
through poorly thought-out imitation of others.
