if we give people a meens to help themselves it will only create a more cunning people that want more. We are not a happy culture with our money. We have more suicide, mental illness, violence in our "advanced" culture...what is so wrong with letting the world controll the population? Trust in it. It will create a disease to wipe out who needs to be wiped out. The people that have the power are not immune to disease. The world will take are of itself.

Well the problem is that some of the poverty is beyond help because they blame everyone else for their problems. The major part of poverty, where people are oppressed and their economy has nothing to offer, exists because the rest of the world is selfish. I believe a person who is born into oppression like those in Darfur are not part of "those who need to be wiped out". I believe in the poverse people of the world were given a chance, they would accel-they would be happy with everything they have.

But you are right, if we eliminate all power, the world will become overcrowded with greedy hands and power-mongerers. But that's not the fault of those who need help and deserve it. You can't just sit back and do nothing.

Ending poverty will not necessarily help the World in general, as it will increase the human population of the World and thus decrease the availibility of natural resources causing a global poverty. Another angle you can take to this answer is that humans will devolve culturally in to complacency. By this I mean that once every individual meets minimun survival needs, human motivation to survive becomes less important. From a strictly objective view, poverty adds to this motivation. In my opinion, ending poverty will not only hurt the World, but will create a Human culture that will be so accustomed to getting what they need, that when a time comes for humans to adapt for survival, It will not happen.

Disease will wipe out 'who needs to be wiped out'?? And who makes that decision, you? 'The Earth'? We have an obligation as human beings to help those less fortunate than ourselves. This doesn't mean creating a 'cunning people' with a culture like ours, it just means helping those who need help to build a functional, self-sufficient society.
