I want to download a game off Yahoo! but the administrtion thing on my computer won't let me.?

How do I get permission from the administrator?

if you are using your home pc then you are the adminstrator or your mom and dad are.just tell mom you want it.if work pc dought they will give you access to play games.

Probably, you're out of luck. I also do not have administrative rights on my machine. I think you have two possible options:

1) If you know the person who *is* the administrator for the computer, then ask that person for more permissions. He or she has to do that for you (and should know how!).

2) You can install some software without administrative rights, if you have write access to directories (such as "My Documents"). If the game doesn't require an installer, then just save it to a directory that you have access to and use it. You may have to use software such as http://winzip.com if it's a .zip file. If the game does require an installer, you're usually screwed.

You would have to be granted admin privileges. So, if someone else set up the account(s) on the machine that person would have to change the settings for your account. For example, I set up the accounts on the computer I am using now, so I have the admin privileges, and the other 3 users only have "Limited Accounts" which means they cannot download any programs without my permission. In order to change YOUR status, you would have to login to the Admin's account and change your account status thru the Control Panel and the User Accounts option. Otherwise you're going to have to ask for permission from the person that controls the account settings.

Your user account is most likely set to "limited access". In order to get it changed, you must switch to an Administrative name and install the game from there, or ask for your account powers to be switched so you may install it on your name.
