Good question – knowledge deals with knowing “stuff”. Having wisdom is being able to apply common sense to your knowledge and utilizing your intelligence to act in an appropriate way to a situation.
People can be very smart in text book knowledge but not know how to properly react to situations in the appropriate manner.
For example I was a very smart business person but I ruined my personal life and marriage because I was not wise. As smart as I was I still messed up big time!

Knowledge is general, something you can pick up on the street, and wisdom is personal knowledge, gained by years of understanding and trial and error. Just because you have knowledge of something doesn't mean you're wise.
