My boyfriend and I have agreed to get more involved in each others' life. I have to pick between these 2 sports to learn about and watch..

Which do you think I'd like? I grew up watching baseball with my grandpa, I collected tons of cards and loved playing baseball. *But there are tons of pitches/plays etc to learn*.

I like boxing because it feels like I'm in the middle of the fight and want to get in the middle of it every time I see a fight going on. All of this started by watching Fight Night round 3.. I think.

I done both. Chose baseball. It gives you 6 months off during the off season where you can concentrate on other things and if you chose boxing, your bf is eventually going to want to see you actually do it.

I'd say if you already like boxing and have fun with it, roll with that. The only downside is that a lot of the big fights are pay per view, which I don't like $39.95 a pop or more for.

Baseball's kind of fun because you learn about it as you go along. It's a little more pedestrian too, so you can spend more time together relaxing, if you so wish. There is a lot to learn, but the basics are pretty simple, and the announcers will usually explain if it's some weird complex rule. One great place for a start - If you watch Sunday night baseball (7 PM Sundays on ESPN) with Joe Morgan and Jon Miller, you can learn a lot about the game, as they're always explaining things and pointing out things that occasionally even long-time baseball fans didn't know.
