Good question. Unfortunately, that's something you'd have to ask the people who came up with the ideology for an answer

I'd suggest the question implies a basic mis-understanding of what you really are. If you were nothing but a warm body it might apply, but you are more than a crab in a barrell.

You are made of three parts, one - a physical body, two - a mind that performs calculations, pattern recognition, and functions as your survival tool, three - your consciousness which is that part of you that seeks answers to questions like "why am I here?".

The first two parts are indeed taking up space and time for the moment, but your consciousness is connected to and part of infinity and is eternal. In fact, 14.5 billion years of evolution have gone into preparing this place and that body so your consciousness would have a place to experience all that it is.

So rather than shrink with the thought that you are an insignificant spec in this universe, I'd say marvel at how magnificent you are that the prime source went to so much effort to create this magnificent playground just for YOU. You are indeed loved more than you can possibly imagine.
