Wow! Everyone is giving nice answers.
Mine was not so good.
A looong commute to a new school (30 miles).
My first class was at 9:20am so parking was impossible to find.
I was late for my first class.
Then my second class was 10 minutes later on the other end of the campus. Late for my second class.
Didn't know a soul at that school.
Books were all gone for two of my classes so I had to photocopy chapters from the library until the books arrived.
At the end of the day I ran into my buddy from high school and we complained to each other as I gave him a ride back home (a 30 min ride).
The worst quarter of my college career was Q1 freshman year.
A bad first experience.
Hope yours is 100 times better than mine.
I did end up graduating with honors and had alot of friends there.

My first day of college was incredible, overwhelming and yikkes the middle step to adulthood. It was incredible because of the dormitory life and other from the commuter angle intermingling to bond this great cirlcle of freinds. It was overwhelming because now for the first time there was no parent at a conference. It was me the student having an adult conversation with the professors about my academic progress. It was disappointing because after the first day I didn't see anyone I recognized (mom and dad) to tell them how my day went. But on the otherside I did meet new poeple who were sharing that same experince. Last, but not least, it was definetly a middle step to adulthood. I still had my parents who I could lean on, but as the years went by I found myself becoming more and more independent. Which, afterall, is suppoesed to happen at college.

Awesome! One of the greatest days of my life.
I lived in the all girls dorm, so all of the guys headed over to prowl around. We left our door open all day, so people could come in and out. Met a ton of people, some of whom are still close friends of mine (and college was more years ago than I like to admit!).
It was so much fun to decorate our room, and get to know my roommate.
Enjoy it!

Seemed long and boring haha. It's trial and error. You have to schedule accordingly. If you're going to live on campus, then it'll be ok to have breaks between classes. If you commute from home, breaks are bad unless you have one around lunch time. The day will just draaaaaag.

The very first day was so exciting for me that when I entered the gates of University of Santo Tomas my teeth were chattering, and I could literally hear them hit each other.

It was interesting. I remember that the night before, I couldn't sleep. I was sitting in my first class (English) and my stomach was doing flip-flops but I enjoyed it overall.
The morning before classes, I remember my parents telling me how well I'll do and how they would be thinking about me and stuff. They continued to be supportive of me in my continuning education (and they still are).
