I have come to the dreadful conclusion that politics are so confusing and generalised that you are either "Left-wing trash" or "Right-wing scum". Is it possible to be middle wing???
Or, instead of Liberal or Conservative, Conservberal???
All of the questions (read: statement posed as questions) I've seen here today can be said for both liberals and conservatives, republicans and democrats, yankees and mets, whatever.
Can't you just be middle? It used to be called "independent", but typically those are now generalised as liberal. Or Mormon (no offense meant) or something to that effect.
Also, can't people distinguish the difference between socialists and their corrupt leaders???
There is a difference, people.

Sorry, by Mormons I meant the living in compounds, polygamy types in the mountains. Not todays average Morman person. My friends who are Mormon are all quite conservative, but their kind enough to keep it to themselves.

Once again, no offense meant!!!

I was a middle-of-the-road independent. The way the country has been leaning too far to the right lately, I found my balance point farther to the left. I am a free thinker, and I have taught my kids to be as well. I wish the Democrats would come up with some strong leadership I could feel secure in backing. I really wish we could start a third party that will garner enough support to get a candidate voted into office. Maybe the time has finally come!

Blue Dog Coalition in the House of Representatives are the only "middle of the road" politicians I can think of. They are fiscally conservative and socially liberal (liberal being used very, very lightly). Unfortunately, the R's won't vote for anything they propose (one of those things being a balanced budget each year) and only a few D's will vote with them. These are the politicians that need to figure out how to start a National Third Party so we can quiet the extremists. If you look at the Blue Dog's voting records you will be suprised to see that they vote with the R's almost as much as they vote with the D's. Maybe their is hope for our future..........

There is a distinguished middle in American politics. They function WITHIN political parties. Look at the Democratic Leadership Council, the Senate Centrist Coalition, the Republican Main Street Partnership, etc.

Yes. I'm am "middle wing". Although I amt called a libtard a lot. So guess which side this makes me lean toward?

People have used this site to make a statement instead of asking questions. And they have used this site merely to abuse one another. Its very rare that I actually come across a poignant question such as yours. Most of the time I answer questions completely sarcastically because they very rarely actually evoke thought.

Even if you are middle of the roaders you only have three choices in office, one of them will never win so really only have two. It doesn't matter who is in office what matters is having balance. We do not have a good balance right now and that is why we are fighting so much. Once the balance is put back we will all get along much better I hope.

It's called libertarian.

Take what you like from each side and run with it.
