That's a tough one these days. You could try asking questions that don't involve faith... you could avoid asking about evolution or global warming, since those things seem to attract evangelicals.
Otherwise, sorry, those folks are out there trying to get you to join their Church, and are using their belief structure to reject realities about the world that make them uncomfortable.
You could do as I do. Address them politely, let them know up front you're not going to go for their sales pitch... otherwise ignore them.
Myself, I talk about other faiths and their ideas, to illustrate that Christians haven't got a monopoly on ideas of decency and good behavior.

people are pushy. Nothing you can do.
If you say you dont want to hear about it, some one will probably step up to bat on shooting your opinions down and ask why you lack faith or dont believe. Its usually to makethemselves feel better. Pity them.
