Phillip Morris would be all over it...government would tax the heck out of it..not to mention making it illegal to grow your own...
Marketing executives would be brainstorming on how to sell a lot of it....I envision "Marlboro greens"

The first thing I think would happen is a large decrease in the populations of correctional facilities. The "masses" would react two ways, the first would be to go into an uproar about the legalization of marijuana further proving the deteriorating state of societies morals. The second would start parting in the streets and line up to purchase the newly legalized drug.

I think for a lot of people who smoke marijuana would stop smoking it because it would lose its dangerous edge, and others who had obstained would partake of it just cause it is illegal. Also I think sales of antidepressents and other types of prescibed medications would decrease.

A lot of people will be smoking pot in the streets. Stores will open up selling pot just like liquor stores. The government will put a heavy tax on it.
Reactions will be perfectly split. Pot smokers will rejoice. Non pot smokers will yell.
