I just posted a question about "The Historian" as well..

but I really enjoyed it, the ending seemed to much like the author got tired of writting and wanted to end it. I wish it would of told more about what Helen was doing, and what it was like to have her home after everything happens.
But, once again, I really liked it and now I'm craving for a book that is equally as good.

I hope you liked the book. :)

I really enjoyed it. I loved the care that she wrote with, the amount of detail and the level of character. But the end seemed like a kind of cheat to me - I think she must have been tired of writing the dang thing! But all in all I thought it was a good read.

I thought it was broing and very drawn out. I could not finish it and neither could my husband (who is a historian!). We bought the hardcover and everytime I see it I get mad at the money we wasted on it.

Yes. It was interesting, but too detailed and drawn out at times. I suggest looking up the book on Amazon.com to find more detailed reviews on the book.

I thought it really needed editing. It was repititious in places. Still, it ws a great idea and the mimicking of Vivtorian style wasn't too bad.

It bored the hell out of me, and ended badly. It's too bad too because she had a good plot line and pretty good research involved.
