I would suggest a few things.
Check tire pressure. Underinflated tires reduce your gas milage.
Check spare tire pressure. You don't want to get a flat and discover your spare is flat too!
Check/clean/replace the air filter. Dirty air filter reduces your gas milage too.
Top off Windshield wiper fluid. And take some with you too. In the early evenings the bugs can be very thick!
Wipers. Do they clean the windshield OK? Are they coming apart?
Check/add trasnmission fluid.
Fuel injector cleaner. Add a bottle to your tank to make sure things are clean. You have enough time before you leave for it clean things out. Some times I find it can makes the car run rough for a bit so I would not do it just before you leave.
Check coolant. If the car is older it may be low or need to be replaced.
If you're handy you can probably do most of the above. If not, your oil change place should be able to do it.
A few other odd things I carry on long trips:
Water and blanket - you never know where you might breakdown or how long it will take for AAA to get there.
A flat piece of wood. If you do need to change a tire, your jack may sink into the dirt on the side of the road. You can put a 2 ft by 2 ft piece of wood under the jack so it does not sink in.
Hope this helps! Have a safe trip!

An oil change is a good start, also check your tires. If you have no complants about your vehicle, than just check your fluids (coolant, brake, power steering. auto transmission) and drive safely. New windshield wipers might be nice, but you can buy replacements at any Wal-mart, so have someone squirt a hose at the windshield and go from there. I would suggest that every fillup, check your fluid levels and do a general walk around the car. Also, before you leave, check your lights. Unless your car is REALLY old, then traveling at 65 to 75 mph should cause a problem. Keep checking your gauges and warning lights and you should be fine. Good Luck.

In order of importance: Good tires including spare tire with proper air pressure. Bring an air pressure gage with you and make sure you have the car jack and wrench for the wheel lug nuts. Also, if you don't normally drive at 70 mph locally, take the car out on the highway for a 15 minute drive to see if the car shakes more and more the faster you go. If so, you need to get your tires rebalanced. Make sure your windshield wipers work in heavy rain. Have all your lights checked including the rear stop lights etc. Bring a cell phone with you. If your battery is over 4 years old, replace it with a new one before you go on the trip.

i'd propose getting a upkeep verify at a vehicle care position like Firestone. you ought to ask the mechanic what arrangements you would favor. yet you've the basics already i.e. oil replace, tires etc. good success on your vacation! Have an concepts-blowing time and force competently!
