ABSOLUTELY Normal. There are two things they say not to get into battles with your child and 1) is food and 2) is potty training. My DD (dear daughter) was into cereals and jarred food, but then around 9-10 months, wasn't into anything. I'd try to get her to eat, but in the first 2 minutes, if she didn't want it, I would stop and give her a bottle. Babies go through growth and curiosity spirts. There are days she'd eat 2 jars per sitting and other days she'd barely eat one jar. Plus, they are starting to get real curious and exploring becomes more important than eating. Your child will go through the ups and downs on eating depending on if they have ear aches, are teething, are in a growth spirt or if you change around their schedule.

Good luck and I hope what I have answered helps.

My son was on solid foods and then he got a cold and stopped eating them completely. It took me 4 months to get him to eat baby food regularly again. The best of luck to you on this one.

Yep. My son did this around the same age (he is now 19 months old).

He stayed on formula for one more month, then started eating 'adult' food--mashed potatoes, smashed veggies, etc.

I guess he decided on his own when it was time to give up the baby food.

yes I believe so considering my daughter has done that she is now 11 months old and she stopped wanting food for awhile. I believe it may have something to do with your baby teething. They say they will not want to eat sometimes also as they get older throughout life they will do this they call it GRAZING As long as your baby is gaining weight and is healthy everything is fine!

My thirteen month previous boy had the same problem at that good age. have you ever given her any of your food once you're eating? If sure it would desire to be that she likes the forged food extra helpful. How a lot does she weight? If she is somewhat healthful on weight you are going to be able to desire to aim to supply her mashed potatoes, mashed rice, pasta with sauce(slightly mashed)and different meals like that. in case you are able to mashed them and he or she likes it supply it a attempt mine loves it and because he grew to become into 9 months he ate race and beans and all of the above. So undergo in innovations that possibly she's bored of the same meals, that doesn't recommend which you may desire to lay off the peas and green beans, purely combination them so she have some thing new widespread. additionally the graduates stews are great for them mine like it by way of fact is somewhat a soup very delicate and has great style, in case you want extra recommendations e mail me... As for the formulation mine purely drank like 8 oz. of formulation with cereal at nighttime till now mattress, and each from time to time 4 oz. interior the morning. something of the day he drank juice, splashers(gerber water with style) and gerber fruit puffs that disolve interior the mouth. desire all is going properly...=-) AND sure it quite is actual widespread!!!!! =-)jaja

yes. my son is 10 months old and he just got over the same thing. just make sure that he/she is getting enough formula. and i figured out my sons dislike for the baby food was caused by his anger over the fact that he had to eat something other then what we were. once we started letting him finger feed himself the same stuff we were eating he has become a eating champ

Yes. Babies' development is *often* two steps forward and one step back. It is occasionally even the other way--one step forward and *two* steps back!!

But if you're asking if it's normal in the case of a *specific* child, talk to the pediatrician.

there are only 3 things a child can control. how much and what they eat, when they use the toilet and when and for how long they sleep. he is just expressing his control over this situation. he wants to see what you do. teething might also be an added cause.
