My strawberries are green, but they aren't producing yet. Why?

Is this the first year you planted them? Some strawberries don't actually make fruit until their second year. Then they make them every year after that. They have to mature for a year first.

Strawberries need to be in the direct sun all day.

Maybe not enough sun light.
